Job Description
Overview Parker CDJR is currently sourcing an Automotive Accounting Manager to join our team. The position will lead and oversee all accounting functions within the dealership. This pivotal role combines prior franchise dealership accounting experience with proven leadership experience to ensure accurate daily financial operations, daily, weekly and monthly reporting, and payroll. As a key player in our management team, you will maintain financial integrity through every area of the dealership and work with other team members to achieve the same. Your keen attention to detail will be critical in the success of this role. Responsibilities Lead the accounting team in completion of daily routine tasks. Oversee all general ledger activities, including daily cash management, account reconciliation, journal entries, etc. to maintain accurate financial records. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining strong vendor relationships. Supervise the month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial report writing, franchise reporting requirements and sales tax reporting. Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure financial integrity across all areas of the dealership. Lead a team of accounting staff providing training, coaching, mentorship and goal setting focused on accuracy and efficiency and personal accountability. Qualifications Proven experience in managing accounting teams within a franchise automotive dealership environment. Proficiency in Excel and experience with Dealership DMS systems is essential. Excellent communication skills for preparing detailed reports and collaborating across departments. Bachelor's Degree Preferred but not mandatory.
