full-time StevenDouglas is partnering on a search for an Accounting Manager with a PE-backed company holding the #2 market position in its industry ($250M+). This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys balancing technical and operational accounting, process improvement, and team leadership while working closely with executive leadership. This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the Controller, with a clear runway to Assistant Controller. What you'll do: Lead monthly close across multiple cost centers and business unit P&Ls Own GL/chart of accounts management in NetSuite Partner with the Controller on external audits, internal controls, and compliance Drive process improvement and AI-enabled automation initiatives Manage complex vendor, freight, and contract-related accounting Mentor and develop accounting team members What you bring: Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field 6+ years progressive accounting experience with leadership exposure Strong GAAP and month-end close expertise NetSuite or comparable mid-market ERP proficiency CPA a plus; logistics/multi-location experience a plus Public accounting foundation a plus Why this role: Direct visibility with CEO, CFO, and executive leadership Involvement in a major refinancing initiative over the next two years Lead automation and AI-driven accounting transformation Defined path to Assistant Controller High-trust, collaborative culture with real work-life balance Hybrid schedule - in-office Tuesday/Wednesday.
