Job Description:

About the Opportunity A stable and well-established company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support executive leadership. Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting functions, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Supervise and support one Accounts Receivable team member Process weekly payroll Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close activities Initiate and process wire transfers Coordinate bank deposits and occasional business-related post office activities Provide financial reporting and supporting documentation to an external CPA firm Partner closely with outside accountants during month-end and year-end processes Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies Qualifications 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior experience in a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or similar role Strong Microsoft Excel skills required Experience with QuickBooks preferred Experience processing payroll through ADP strongly preferred Understanding of AP, AR, General Ledger, and bank reconciliations Ability to work independently in a small-company environment Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ascendo is an equal opportunity employer.
