$85,000 - $100,000 per year depending on experienceReports directly to the President / General ManagerOpportunity to build and improve accounting, financial reporting, and administrative systemsDirect involvement in financial and operational decision-makingBroad responsibility across accounting, job costing, payroll, HR administration, budgeting, forecasting, and financial operationsOpportunity to develop scalable accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting processesGrowth-oriented environment where your financial expertise directly supports business performanceWhy You'll Love It HereHelp shape financial processes, controls, and systems as the company growsWork directly with leadership and provide financial insights that support business decisionsOwn both strategy and execution, from day-to-day accounting and cash flow management to forecasting and financial analysisDevelop processes and systems designed to support sustainable growthWork across accounting, project operations, payroll, HR, banking, and administrationJoin an organization focused on quality, operational efficiency, accountability, and dependable executionYour New RoleWork from the company's location just outside Reno, NevadaOwn and maintain the company's accounting system, including Sage Intacct integrated with Sigma MRP or equivalent ERP platformsPerform and oversee bookkeeping, general ledger activity, revenue recognition, and expense recordingPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Forecasts, and Budget vs. Actual ReportsComplete account reconciliations and maintain accurate, audit-ready financial recordsManage project accounting and job costingTrack project revenue, labor, materials, overhead, and costs and prepare job profitability reportsMonitor work-in-progress (WIP) and communicate financial and project cost trends to leadershipManage accounts payable, vendor bills, payment scheduling, and cash flow prioritizationOversee accounts receivable, aging, collections, and cash flowCoordinate customer invoicing based on project milestones and shipmentsProcess and oversee payroll, payroll taxes, garnishments, deductions, and related requirementsSupport compliance with applicable federal, state, and local financial and employment requirementsManage daily cash flow and develop forecasts to support operational needsMaintain banking relationships and assist leadership with financing needsMonitor expenditures against available cash and operational prioritiesLead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and financial analysisAnalyze financial data to identify trends, risks, cost drivers, and operational opportunitiesTranslate financial results into clear, actionable information for company leadershipMaintain employee records, benefits tracking, onboarding documentation, and HR recordsSupport HR administration and related internal processesEstablish and continuously improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial reporting processesHelp implement scalable ERP, accounting, and administrative systems as the company growsMaintain confidentiality of company financial and employee informationProvide guidance to accounting or administrative support staff as the organization expands
Hiring Expectations:
Apply today, complete a quick phone screening, and get ready for an interview with our team to discuss your goals and experience.5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilitiesStrong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reportingExperience with job costing, manufacturing accounting, project accounting, or a comparable project-based accounting environmentProficiency with Sage, Sage Intacct, or similar accounting and ERP systemsAdvanced Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skillsExperience preparing and interpreting financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reportsWorking knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementExperience overseeing or processing payroll and maintaining payroll complianceAbility to communicate financial information clearly to company leadership and other stakeholdersStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities independently in a dynamic environmentAbility to appropriately handle confidential financial and employee informationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferredExperience in steel fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or a related industry preferredERP implementation or system migration experience preferredKnowledge of payroll regulations and labor compliance preferredAbility to work additional hours when necessary during month-end or year-end closeWe are looking for candidates who are passionate about the job they do and eager to contribute to our team.
