Director of Finance General Description:
Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic business decisions through financial analysis and planning. Finance Manager should have experience working with healthcare payroll.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education :
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Qualifications:
5-8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including supervisory experience. Must know payroll (UKG/ADP) and Accounts Payable.
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance and accounting department. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee the general ledger, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close processes. Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure adequate liquidity. Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), company policies, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed asset accounting. Manage tax compliance, including sales tax, payroll tax, and support for income tax filings. Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets. Prepare financial reports and presentations for executive leadership and the Board of Directors. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and system efficiencies. Partner with department leaders to support budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic initiatives. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate accounting and finance staff.
