The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to keep financial processes accurate, timely, and well controlled.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead construction billing administration, including preparation and review of payment applications, schedules of values, retainage tracking, change documentation, and related backup.
  • Manage payroll processing for both union and non-union employees, ensuring accuracy for prevailing wage requirements, certified payroll submissions, benefit allocations, and deductions.

  • Prepare and evaluate monthly project accounting schedules such as cost forecasts, percentage-of-completion reporting, overbilling or underbilling analysis, and profitability reporting.
  • Oversee customer billing follow-up and collections activity, including monitoring aged receivables and retained balances.
  • Supervise subcontractor and vendor payment administration by confirming compliance documentation, insurance records, lien waivers, and payment terms.

  • Support financial statement preparation, management reporting, audit coordination, insurance-related audits, and tax reporting requirements.
  • Provide leadership to accounting staff while strengthening internal controls, standardizing procedures, and partnering with project managers and senior leadership to resolve financial discrepancies and improve workflows.
