Job Description
We are looking for an experienced accounting specialist to join a growing organization in Cincinnati, Ohio. This position will oversee core accounting activities, support accurate financial reporting, and help strengthen processes across a multi-entity environment. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to budgeting, analysis, and operational improvements while partnering with leadership in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly closing activities, ensuring journal entries, schedules, and supporting documentation are completed accurately and on time.
- Reconcile bank accounts, cash activity, and balance sheet accounts while investigating and correcting variances or outstanding items.
- Analyze financial results and prepare reports that provide leadership with clear insights into business performance.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts by reviewing prior-period results, spending patterns, and operational trends.
- Distribute shared costs appropriately across multiple entities and locations in accordance with accounting guidelines.
- Assist with tax-related reporting requirements, including support for property tax filings and related compliance tasks.
- Participate in onboarding acquired businesses by aligning accounting records and helping standardize financial procedures.
- Partner with finance leadership to enhance workflows, maintain organized records, and respond to audit support requests as needed.
