SUMMARY:
As a member of the management team, the Accounting Manager is responsible for a broad range of financial and operational activities, combining core accounting responsibilities with specialized ownership, strategic input, and effective stakeholder communication. This role supports and, in some areas, leads financial reporting and analysis, compliance initiatives, tax and payroll oversight, and budget planning and management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
: Provide ownership over the accounting specialty. Provide insight to MANNA leadership on matters related to the accounting sphere. Partner with the CFO to provide strategic input as it relates to financial matters. Oversee day-to-day supervision of medical billing operations and staff. Accounting & Financial Reporting Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash receipts functions Maintain original journals of entry Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing Prepare interim financial reports Maintain and update internal control policies, procedures, and SOPs Annual Budget Coordinate annual budget preparation process Provide support upon request for committee presentations Compile departmental inputs Build budgetary templates Annual Audits & 990 Coordinate annual financial audit / tax with the independent audit / tax firm Gather and provide items requested by the audit / tax team Insurance & Risk Management Coordinate annual insurance renewals Complete insurance applications and supporting schedules Maintain insurance policies Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including: Provide secondary support for payroll function Prepare / file various state compliance returns Maintain renewals of various certifications (State Charity Licenses, City Business Licenses)
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access. Excellent organizational skills. Strong analytical and verbal communication skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field. 4-6+ years of accounting experience. Experience with Fund E-Z or similar accounting software a plus.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
All offers of employment with MANNA are contingent upon the successful completion of a standard credentialing process, including a criminal background check and drug screening. These screenings are subject to annual re-verification as a condition of continued employment.
SALARY:
$80,000.00 - $90,000.00
