Job Summary We are a growing small business seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations with energy and precision. This pivotal role combines comprehensive bookkeeping responsibilities with some administrative duties, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, regulatory compliance, and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to managing complex accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial analysis, and adherence to GAAP and IFRS standards. This is the vital role in maintaining the financial health of our organization while fostering a dynamic and collaborative work environment. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis. Prepare detailed financial reports, statements, and regulatory filings in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant standards. Lead the management of accounting systems such as QuickBooks and other financial software to optimize data integrity and reporting capabilities. Conduct thorough account reconciliation procedures for general ledger accounts and ensure proper debits & credits application. Expand and lead our accounting department as the company grows. Perform cost accounting analysis and budgeting activities to support strategic decision-making. Ensure regulatory compliance. Support treasury management activities including forecasting, cash flow analysis, and banking relationships for effective financial planning. Maintain a high standard of financial concepts understanding—such as double entry bookkeeping—and ensure all financial data is accurate for internal use and external reporting. Experience Proven experience in full-charge bookkeeping. Demonstrated expertise with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms; proficiency in Excel data analysis is essential. Experience handling complex financial concepts like cost accounting analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes. Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation accurately while managing accounts payable/receivable processes efficiently.
