In this vital role, you will manage the entire disbursement cycle, ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations, and maintain meticulous records. Your expertise in accounting systems, financial software, and data entry will support our organization's commitment to transparency and fiscal responsibility. Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end process of funds disbursement, including verifying requests, preparing journal entries, and executing payments through various financial software such as Workday, Paychex, or ADP. Ensure all disbursements comply with organizational policies, SOX controls, GAAP standards, and governmental regulations. Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions regularly using accounting systems like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft. Maintain accurate records of all disbursement activities, including detailed documentation of transactions and supporting documentation for audits. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve payment issues efficiently while safeguarding confidential information. Requirements Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable management, or bookkeeping. Strong knowledge of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation. Familiarity with accounting software including Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft or similar systems; experience with financial software like Ceridian or UltiPro is a plus. Excellent numeracy skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry and account analysis. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while demonstrating strong customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—especially Excel—for data analysis and reporting purposes.
