Financial Aid Position Summary:
This position functions as part of the Financial Aid Department and is r esponsible for financial aid packaging and billing, as well as providing guidance to students and parents in student financing issues.
Responsibilities:
Team member in providing excellent customer service and process efficiencies. Oversee all aspects of financial aid for new and returning students, including: Determination of eligibility and awarding various types of federal, state and institutional funds in compliance with federal and state regulations, university discount rate targets, and audit requirements. Advise students and parents in relation to payment plan options. Provide customer service as it relates to processing and packaging issues, including answering routine questions, responding to correspondence, and counseling students as needed. Assist with University orientation events and Royal Registration activities, including financial aid presentations, as requested. Work closely with other university departments to assist efforts toward recruitment and retention processes. Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Supportive of Warner's mission, vision and core values, commitment to a Christian lifestyle, and demonstration of character in keeping with biblical models. Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor. Meticulous attention to detail, organized, with the ability to multi-task. High level of interpersonal skills to handle confidential situations and documentation. Experience in financial aid higher education, including awarding aid and financial aid regulations. Proficiency with computer software and high comfort level working with Windows software applications. Bachelor's degree required.

Working Relationships:
The Financial Aid Coordinator reports to the Director of Financial Aid.
Work Schedule:
Normal office hours expected Monday through Friday. Additional hours as needed for significant department or university events. Share job details to
