Essential Functions:

The Finance Officer assists with the financial operations of the City, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, purchasing, audit preparation, and compliance with the state and federal financial requirements.

Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Certified Public Accountant license, Certified Government Finance Officer credential, or similar professional credentials. Preference will also be given to candidates with financial experience in local government or public-sector finance. Candidates eligible for certification or licensure may also be considered.

Physical Demands:

Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.

Standard Clauses:

Employees may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays to meet the business needs of the City. Pay:

$50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
