Job Description

SCOPE OF WORK
The Contract Representative is responsible to ensure funds, grant, and contract expenditures from various funding agencies received in the name of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe are proper and within approved budgetary limits, prepare financial reports, conduct reconciliation of fiscal year expenditures with auditors and assist with initiation of requests of funds from funding agencies to assure that adequate funds are available to program operations.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor and manage the financial activities of assigned funds, grants, and contracts to ensure expenditures comply with approved budgets and funding requirements.

Process financial transactions and reporting, including purchase orders, drawdowns, indirect costs, federal financial reports (FFRs), and account reconciliations in accordance with established timelines.

Support the administration of grants and contracts by establishing chart of accounts, onboarding and closing program accounts, and assisting with budget development, modifications, and journal vouchers.

Provide fiscal guidance and technical assistance to Program Directors through budget orientation, financial analysis, and recommendations for corrective actions to maintain compliance.

Coordinate with funding agencies, auditors, and internal stakeholders to resolve fiscal issues, ensure timely reimbursement of funds, and maintain compliance with grant and contract requirements.

Maintain compliance with financial policies and regulations by monitoring program finances, participating in audits, resolving fiscal concerns, and performing other finance office duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred. Will consider experience in accounting or finance related field.
