Job Description

Job Overview The Community Banker is responsible for identifying, developing, and strengthening relationships with businesses, professionals, community leaders, and prospective customers to support the Bank's growth objectives. This position focuses on generating new deposit relationships, treasury management opportunities, referrals, and lending prospects while promoting the Bank's products, services, and community presence. The Community Banker serves as a community ambassador for the Bank and works closely with retail, lending, treasury management, and mortgage teams to deliver financial solutions that meet customer needs and contribute to overall profitability and market growth. Duties 1. Develop and implement strategies to attract new consumer and commercial banking relationships. 2. Generate leads through networking, business calls, referrals, community involvement, and prospecting efforts. 3. Identify opportunities for deposit growth, treasury management services, and lending referrals. 4. Cultivate relationships with business owners, executives, professionals, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders. 5. Meet established goals for new business generation, deposits, referrals, and customer acquisition. 6. Maintain a robust prospect pipeline and regularly report sales activity and results. 7. Conduct financial needs assessments and recommend appropriate banking solutions. 8. Partner with commercial lenders, retail bankers, treasury management staff, and mortgage lenders to deliver comprehensive customer solutions. 9. Develop long-term relationships that encourage customer retention and expanded product utilization. 10. Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally while maintaining high service standards all while maintaining confidential customer and Bank information. 11. Represent the Bank at community events, chamber meetings, civic organizations, trade associations, and networking functions while promoting the Bank's brand, values, and commitment to community involvement. 12. Build and maintain visibility within the Bank's market areas. 13. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. 14. Provide management with feedback regarding local market opportunities and challenges. 15. Assist with the development of marketing initiatives and business development campaigns. 16. Support strategic efforts to increase core deposits, customer households, and business relationships. 17. Maintain knowledge of Bank products, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Education / Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred. 2. Equivalent combination of education and banking/business development experience may be considered. 3. Three to five years of experience in banking, business development, sales, relationship management, or a related field preferred. 4. Community banking experience strongly preferred. 5. Demonstrated success in sales, networking, and customer relationship development. 6. Experience in Fiserv Navigator preferred. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities 1. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. 2. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. 3. Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions. 4. Strong networking and prospecting abilities. 5. Knowledge of business banking products, deposit services, treasury management solutions, and lending services preferred. 6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. 7. Strong organizational and time-management skills. 8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Physical Requirements 1. Frequent speaking, listening, and interaction with customers and community members. 2. Ability to travel within the Bank's market area for business development activities. 3. Ability to attend occasional early morning, evening, or weekend community events. 4. Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment. 5. Ability to see and hear within normal ranges, with reasonable accommodation, to effectively perform essential job functions. 6. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 7. Pay:
$45,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
