Thank you for considering the following position in your job search! We are currently seeking a Sr. Financial Services Rep / Banker for a credit union located in Chesapeake, VA!

$21 - 24/hr Branch hours: Monday -

Friday:

8:30am-5:00pm & Saturday 8:30-12:30

Responsibilities:

In a branch setting, provides members and potential members with impeccable service in person or over the phone. Engagement and educating members on credit union products and services. Selling and offering financial products and services to members in person and over the phone. Processes new accounts, additional share types, and IRAs. Processes consumer loan products including personal, auto, home equity line of credit, and credit cards. Process all types of transactions for members, including balance inquiries, transfers, payments, loan advances, account opening, and all other requests. Educates members on products and services, making referrals to internal business partners. Operational responsibility including opening and closing procedures, when leadership is not present. Mentor and role model for all staff, providing on-site training. Provides security overrides to other staff. Assists other staff with escalated member situations. Works at other branch locations as needed.

Requirements:

Experience in a bank or credit union is required to be considered! A bachelor's degree in business management, finance, or a related field and a minimum or 1 year in a financial institution handling banking transaction and product sales and services or Four years of experience in a financial institution with sales or service experience advising customers when choosing between options, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Employees in this position are required to obtain and maintain a valid Notary Public commission within six (6) months of their hire date as a condition of continued employment.
