Business Banking Loan Processor/Servicer

Job Description

WECU is seeking a Business Banking Loan Processor/Servicer to join our Business Banking team located in Bellingham, WA. The position is responsible for performing duties related to the processing and servicing of business loans of low complexity. The position is responsible for ensuring accurate loan records, timely servicing transactions, proper collateral administration, and compliance with Credit Union policies and State and Federal regulatory requirements. Position requires moderate supervision and direction and may independently handle routine member inquiries, loan transactions, and servicing requests while supporting Loan Officers, members, and vendors throughout the life of the loan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Interact with loan officers, members, title companies and other vendors to request, receive and follow-up on documentation and information required in processing and servicing of business loans. Provide routine servicing support to members by researching and resolving loan servicing inquiries, processing requests, and ensuring timely follow-up. Review incoming business entity, collateral, and insurance documents to ensure their accuracy and completeness. Prepare and produce loan documentation for closing, board new loans to the loan system, and complete required data entry. Complete loan funding, disbursements, payments, payoffs, advances, construction draws, and other servicing transactions. Prepare and file collateral documents with title companies and appropriate governmental authorities to ensure lien perfection and priority. Follow up to obtain final deeds of trust, title insurance policies, vehicle titles, UCC filings, and other post-closing collateral documentation. Update and monitor ticklers for insurance coverage, UCC filings, annual reporting requirements, loan maturities, property taxes, annual fees, and other servicing requirements. Maintain accurate loan servicing records, collateral files, loan documents, and system information. Manage and process service requests from Loan Officers, internal departments, and vendors, ensuring timely completion and proper documentation. Assist lending staff with documentation and procedural questions and support smooth workflow between departments. Assist with audits, compliance reviews, reporting, and documentation retrieval requests. Maintain current knowledge of Credit Union lending policies, procedures, commercial lending programs, loan documentation requirements, UCC Article 9, and related systems. Follow policies and procedures related to BSA, AML, CIP, and CDD requirements daily to ensure compliance with current regulations. Complete all required annual BSA and Patriot Act training and notify the Compliance Department of suspicious activity. Perform specific and delegated duties assigned by management. Follow WECU's policies, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations and assist others as needed to support departmental success. Performs other duties as assigned and may also assist others to complete tasks and work assignments.
BSA Specific Requirements:
Understand compliance and complete annual training related to the Business Services Loan Processor / Servicer position including, but not limited to, The Bank Secrecy Act and the Patriot Act. Understand Bank Secrecy Act forms and procedures for monitoring and reporting suspicious activity. Notify the Compliance Department of any suspicious activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum two years of lending experience preferred; business or commercial loan processing and servicing experience preferred. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and within a team environment while meeting deadlines. Working knowledge of commercial lending programs, loan documentation, collateral requirements, UCC filings, and applicable loan systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and member-focused approach. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and loan processing/servicing platforms.

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is from $26.88 to $40.32 per hour.
