80,000-100,000k Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Banking Officer, VP to develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of business clients. This position is ideal for a relationship-driven banking professional who understands the financial needs of small- to mid-sized businesses and has experience delivering customized lending, deposit, and cash management solutions. The Business Banking Officer will serve as a trusted financial partner to clients while identifying opportunities to expand relationships, generate new business, and support the continued growth of the commercial banking portfolio. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, manage, and expand a portfolio of small- to mid-sized business clients across a variety of industries.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships by developing a strong understanding of each business's financial needs, goals, and challenges.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business clients, proactively addressing questions, financial needs, and opportunities.
  • Generate new business and identify opportunities to expand existing commercial loan and deposit relationships.
  • Recommend appropriate banking solutions, including commercial loans, lines of credit, deposit products, and cash management services.
  • Proactively manage portfolio performance while maintaining appropriate credit quality and risk standards.
  • Develop referral sources and new business opportunities through networking, community involvement, and relationship development.
  • Collaborate with credit, cash management, operations, and other internal partners to provide comprehensive financial solutions.
  • Work toward established lending, deposit, portfolio growth, and business development goals.
  • Ensure banking activities comply with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in business banking, commercial lending, credit analysis, relationship management, or a related financial services role.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining relationships with business clients across diverse industries.
  • Experience proactively managing and growing a portfolio of commercial loans and deposits.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding business development, sales, or portfolio growth goals.
  • Strong knowledge of business banking products and services, including commercial loans, lines of credit, deposits, and cash management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of credit, risk management, and commercial banking practices.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and business development skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant professional experience will also be considered.
