Job Description

United Hospital District has an opening for a Financial Coordinator/Prior Authorization Specialist. Primary duties include informing self-pay patients of financial liability for high dollar services and setting up initial payment arrangements; screening patients for government funding sources or charity care; coordinating care for V.A. patients, verifying eligibility; obtaining insurance benefits; and ensuring pre-certification, authorization and referral requirements are met prior to the delivery of services. This is a full-time Monday-Friday day shift position with full benefits including health, life, dental, disability insurance, paid time off, matching retirement plan and many others.
