Insurance Sales Agent Assistant Batavia, Ohio Position Overview Pay $14 Per Hour We are seeking a motivated, professional, and customer-focused Insurance Sales Agent Assistant to support our insurance sales team with initial customer communication, information gathering, and quote preparation. The Insurance Sales Agent Assistant will serve as an initial point of contact for prospective customers by gathering the information necessary to obtain insurance quotes and providing that information to the licensed insurance agent. The licensed insurance agent will be responsible for reviewing the information, discussing coverage options, answering insurance-related questions, making recommendations, and presenting the quote to the customer. Key Responsibilities Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective insurance customers. Respond promptly and professionally to inbound customer inquiries and quote requests. Contact prospective customers to gather the information needed to obtain an insurance quote. Ask customers appropriate intake questions regarding their insurance needs and circumstances. Accurately collect and document customer information. Enter customer information into agency management systems and insurance quoting platforms. Obtain preliminary quote information, as directed by the licensed insurance agent. Provide all customer information, quote information, and relevant details gathered during the intake process to the licensed insurance agent for review. Refer all questions regarding coverage, policy recommendations, rates, policy terms, or insurance advice to the licensed insurance agent. Schedule follow-up calls or appointments between prospective customers and the licensed insurance agent. Assist the licensed insurance agent by ensuring all necessary customer information is collected before the quote discussion. Follow up with prospective customers regarding outstanding information or scheduled appointments. Maintain accurate and organized customer records and communication notes. Protect customer information and maintain confidentiality at all times. Role Boundaries The Insurance Sales Agent Assistant is responsible for initial customer contact, information gathering, administrative support, and providing collected information to the licensed insurance agent . The assistant does not independently provide insurance advice, recommend coverage, interpret policy terms, or make coverage determinations. Questions requiring insurance expertise or a licensed insurance professional will be referred to the licensed insurance agent . Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional, friendly, and customer-service-oriented personality. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to gather and document information efficiently. Comfortable making and receiving customer phone calls. Strong organizational and follow-up skills. Basic computer skills and ability to learn insurance agency software and quoting systems. Ability to work independently while supporting a licensed insurance agent. Previous insurance, sales, customer service, call center, or administrative experience is preferred but not required.
