Personal Lines Underwriter Full-Time Addison, TX We are a Property & Casualty Managing General Agency writing 100+ million in annual premium seeking a Personal Lines Underwriter.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Underwrite and rate new and renewal risks. Service new business accounts based on a defined set of underwriting guidelines. Develop relationships with agents by negotiating coverage terms and premiums. Assist agents with renewal and new business quotes. Develop rapport with company underwriters. Assist the department in meeting monthly production goals. Train agents on products, underwriting appetite and submission requirements.

PREFERRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

College degree, Professional designations a plus. Minimum of 5 years Personal Lines underwriting experience in Company, MGA or Agency environment. Self-directed, efficient and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Strong written & verbal communication skills Aptitude for critical thinking and problem resolution. High level of computer proficiency with experience on insurance company systems. Friendly, upbeat personality with strong written and oral communication skills. Inherent desire to embrace change and pursue continuous improvement. Team player with collaborative attitude.
