Job Description
Agricultural & Commercial Portfolio Manager Northwestern Illinois | Quad Cities / Sterling-Rock Falls Agricultural Corridor Build relationships. Grow a portfolio. Make an impact in your community. We're looking for an Agricultural & Commercial Portfolio Manager who understands that good lending is about more than numbers on a balance sheet—it's about knowing your customers, understanding their operation, and helping them move forward. This is a relationship-focused lending opportunity where you'll work directly with farmers, business owners, and local customers. You'll manage an existing Ag & Commercial portfolio while also developing new relationships and opportunities throughout the market. What You'll Do Meet with existing and prospective customers to understand their financial and credit needs Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with agricultural and commercial customers Develop a deep understanding of each customer's operation, business plan, goals, and challenges Analyze financial statements and business information to structure sound credit solutions Manage and service a segment of the Ag & Commercial loan portfolio Identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships and develop new business Work closely with customers to provide financing solutions that support their growth Ensure lending decisions and portfolio management remain consistent with bank policies and regulatory requirements What We're Looking For You don't have to be a career banker—but you do need to understand agriculture, financials, and the fundamentals of lending. Most importantly, you need to be comfortable sitting across the table from a producer or business owner and building trust. You'll bring: 2-4 years of Ag Lending experience Bachelor's degree in Ag Business, Finance, or a related field Strong understanding of agricultural and commercial financial statements Excellent communication, relationship-building, and listening skills Strong organization and attention to detail Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and follow through A relationship-first approach to working with customers Why This Opportunity?
