Description Position Summary:

The Wholesale Relationship Associate Manager is responsible for providing leadership, coaching, and operational support to the Relationship Associate team while maintaining and servicing an assigned loan portfolio. This role serves as a working leader, balancing day-to-day Relationship Associate responsibilities with supervisory duties including employee development, performance coaching, communication, training, and process improvement. The professional partners closely with other RA Supervisors, RA Managers, and department leadership to create consistency across teams, share best practices, support organizational initiatives, and drive operational excellence. This position plays a key role in promoting a collaborative culture, developing team members, enhancing customer service, and ensuring adherence to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. 25% of time will be allotted toward Relationship Associate functions while the other 75% will be allotted towards the supervisory/managerial functions.

Essential Functions:

Serve as a primary resource for Relationship Associates regarding loan documentation, systems, procedures, policies, and customer service inquiries.

Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to assigned team members through regular one-on-one meetings, performance discussions, and development planning.

Conduct 4x2s, coaching conversations, and other supervisory meetings to support employee growth and engagement.

Maintain a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment that aligns with organizational values and service standards.

Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and training of new employees.

Identify opportunities to improve workflows, processes, and procedures, and partner with leadership to develop, implement, and communicate standardized solutions that drive operational efficiency, consistency, and quality.

Work collaboratively with other RA Supervisors, RA Managers, Loan Operations leadership, and business partners to ensure consistency in processes, communication, training, and service delivery across all regions.

Participate in department projects, process improvement initiatives, and strategic planning efforts that support Wholesale Lending and bank-wide objectives.

Partner with leadership to identify operational challenges and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and customer experience.

Lead team meetings and provide timely communication regarding department initiatives, organizational changes, and process enhancements.

Maintain and service an assigned loan portfolio while delivering exceptional customer service to lenders and clients.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with lending partners and customers to support business retention and growth.

Effectively manage workload priorities while balancing leadership responsibilities with portfolio demands.

Provide support and subject matter expertise for complex loan servicing and documentation matters.

Ensure direct reports are trained and comply with bank policy, laws, and regulations applicable to their roles. Monitor their adherence to internal controls and take action to address employee performance issues.

Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.

Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.

Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.

Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function to this position

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or related field or comparable work experience

At least 3 years' lending and banking experience required.

At least 2 years supervisory experience preferred.

Proficient knowledge of wholesale lending and loan requirements, loan documentation, collateral evaluation, lien perfection and local, state and federal regulatory requirement preferred.

Thorough understanding of all bank policies, bank loan policy, government regulations and compliance requirements involving agricultural lending.

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and in working with other bank software including nCino and TruStage. Knowledge of all systems used from application to closing in wholesale lending preferred.

Working Environment:

Indoor work - not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards. Sedentary work, occasionally lifting or carrying up to 10 pounds. This role is eligible for hybrid work from home opportunity under the work from home guidelines upon completion of onboarding.
