Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Escrow Officer / Jr. Escrow Officer/ Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of escrow transactions within the real estate and financial services industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong understanding of mortgage processes, loan origination, and compliance regulations such as TILA and Fair Housing laws. Experience with FNMA guidelines, underwriting, and mortgage servicing is highly desirable. Duties Manage and oversee escrow transactions from initiation to closing, ensuring all documentation complies with legal and regulatory standards. Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, attorneys, and clients to facilitate smooth transaction flow. Prepare and review escrow agreements, contracts, and related documents with precision. Conduct credit analysis and verify borrower information in accordance with FNMA guidelines and underwriting standards. Ensure adherence to TILA, Fair Housing regulations, and other federal/state compliance requirements. Perform basic math calculations for escrow account balances, prorations, and fee assessments Maintain accurate records of all transaction activities within escrow software systems. Assist in loan processing tasks including document collection, verification, and submission for approval or underwriting review. Support mortgage servicing functions by managing payments, escrow accounts, and customer inquiries related to escrow matters. Qualifications Familiarity with escrow procedures, contracts management, credit analysis, and loan officer responsibilities. Proficiency in math fundamentals necessary for accurate calculations involving escrow accounts and prorations. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple transactions efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of banking operations related to loans and financial transactions is preferred. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and industry professionals.
