Role Description Producing Mortgage Loan Officers at Summit Mortgage Corporation are responsible for originating residential mortgage loans and managing the full lifecycle of the lending process. This full-time, on-site role is based in Jacksonville, FL, where team members cultivate and maintain relationships with borrowers, real estate agents, and other referral partners. Daily activities include consulting with clients to assess their financial profiles and homeownership goals, recommending appropriate loan products, and guiding applicants through pre-qualification, application, and approval. Producing Mortgage Loan Officers collaborate closely with underwriting and processing teams to ensure files are accurate, compliant, and move efficiently from application to closing. The role also involves staying current on mortgage programs, industry regulations, and market trends while delivering high-quality customer service and meeting individual production goals. Qualifications Experience as a Loan Officer, with a proven track record of originating residential mortgage loans and meeting production targets. Strong knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Lending practices, including familiarity with conventional, FHA, VA, and other common loan products. Understanding of Underwriting standards and documentation requirements, with the ability to prepare complete, compliant loan files. Demonstrated Customer Service skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and guide clients through complex financial decisions. Active or eligible Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license as required by NMLS and applicable state regulations. Ability to work on-site in Jacksonville, FL, and collaborate effectively with local branch team members and referral partners. Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously. Proficiency with mortgage LOS systems and basic office software (e.g., CRM tools, document management, and productivity suites).
