Full Job Description What You'll Do:
Market Robins Financial Credit Union mortgage products and services to current and prospective members, as well as real estate agents and credit union staff as referral sources to originate mortgage loan applications. Counsel borrowers and prepare all applicable application documentation and disclosures ensuring compliance with Robins Financial policy/procedure, State/Federal Regulations, and FNMA/Secondary Marketing Guidelines. Obtains pertinent documentation from borrower to promote timely underwriting decisions. Manages applications pipeline to maintain contact with applicants, realtors and attorneys to ensure member satisfaction and application viability from origination through consummation. Participate in community and business development activities. Provide member support for mortgage servicing questions. Maintains member confidence and protects credit union operations by achieving and continuing to develop knowledge of products and services offered by the credit union. Complies with all applicable policies, procedures, laws and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act. Demonstrates teamwork by exhibiting the following: contributing to team effort, initiative, dependability, positive attitude, good attendance, tact, and diplomacy

What You Need To Succeed :
Job Education and Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent 3 years progressive experience in first mortgage lending environment Must be eligible to register with and must maintain registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing & Registry (NMLS)
Preferred Education, Certifications & Experience:
3 years' experience interviewing prospective loan applicants; processing applications; analyzing credit capacity, and collateral. Residential Lending experience, to include Secondary Market/Government programs
Knowledge & Skills Required :
Knowledge of and ability to apply mortgage consumer and lending concepts and guidelines. Analyze detailed financial and credit data to match customer needs with the appropriate program and level of risk. Must possess organizational skills and effective time management skills to succeed in a semi-autonomous fast
  • paced environment.
Skills:
Sales and service skills; ability to manage multiple workloads with successful results; excellent verbal and written communication skills, listening skills, problem analysis and problem resolution; above-average interpersonal skills and proficiency; computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office) This position includes a base salary. Depending on the selected candidate's relevant experience and qualifications, the compensation structure may also include commission-based incentive opportunities.
