Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Loan Officer role located in Schaumburg, IL. The Loan Officer will work directly with borrowers to assess financing needs, explain loan products, and guide applicants through the mortgage process from initial inquiry to closing. Daily responsibilities include originating residential mortgage loans, gathering and reviewing borrower documentation, coordinating with underwriting and processing teams, and ensuring files meet applicable guidelines and regulations. The role also involves building and maintaining relationships with referral partners, following up with leads, and providing timely, clear updates to customers throughout the loan lifecycle. The Loan Officer is expected to meet production goals while maintaining a strong focus on ethical lending practices and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Loan Origination and prior experience working as a Loan Officer or in a closely related mortgage lending role. Solid understanding of Finance principles, including income analysis, debt-to-income ratios, and loan-to-value (LTV) calculations. Experience collaborating with Underwriting teams and familiarity with investor and agency guidelines. Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and support borrowers through each step of the process. Knowledge of mortgage products, regulations, and compliance requirements, including Equal Housing lending standards. Proficiency with loan origination systems (LOS) and standard office productivity software. Ability to work on-site in Schaumburg, IL, manage multiple files simultaneously, and meet production and quality standards. High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred. Relevant state mortgage licensing and registration, including NMLS, or the ability to obtain these credentials within required timeframes.
