Responsibilities Assist in evaluating borrower financial information through credit analysis and income verification to determine loan eligibility Support the loan origination process by gathering necessary documentation and preparing application packages using Loan Origination Systems (LOS) software Learn and adhere to Fair Housing regulations, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), and other industry compliance standards to ensure ethical lending practices Engage with clients to understand their financial needs, explain mortgage options, and build strong relationships through effective communication Collaborate with underwriters and mortgage servicing teams to facilitate smooth loan processing and approval workflows Participate in negotiation of loan terms with clients while maintaining compliance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and banking regulations Develop industry knowledge of mortgage lending products, escrow procedures, and mortgage services to better serve clients' needs Skills Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent customer service abilities Proficiency in Quicken, accounting software, and financial software tools used in mortgage processing Knowledge of Loan Origination Systems (LOS), mortgage servicing platforms, and industry-specific compliance requirements Basic math skills including 10 key typing accuracy for data entry and calculations Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations, TILA, FNMA guidelines, and banking regulatory compliance standards Ability to analyze credit reports and perform risk assessments for commercial or retail lending scenarios Effective relationship-building skills within financial sales environments to foster client trust and loyalty Understanding of escrow processes, contracts, loan processing steps, and underwriting procedures in mortgage lending Industry experience or background in banking, retail lending, or financial services is a plus but not required—training will be provided This position offers an engaging environment where your growth is supported through comprehensive training programs.
