Responsible for providing loan support, and highly skilled administrative and clerical support to the Commercial Lending department.
Education:
A minimum of the following education/experience is required: High School diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in banking and/or related field. Associate Degree and 1 year experience in banking and/or related filed
Job Specific Responsibilities:
Performs administrative support duties to include preparing reports and documents, mailing correspondence, filing, copying, and scanning. Answers incoming telephone calls, resolve customer inquiries within prescribed authority, and when necessary directs calls to the appropriate loan officer or department. Serves as primary contact and provides administrative assistance to commercial loan officer(s). Develops new personal and commercial accounts to help enhance the Bank's portfolio. Performs loan processing duties for commercial, real estate, and consumer loans to include: Obtaining applicant credit history Preparing loan documentation Closing and funding loans Preparing general ledger entries Reviewing and processing all loan technical exceptions Following up on and processing all loan technical exceptions Dealing with Bank attorney and personnel at title companies for real estate closings Assisting customers in reviewing and researching loan and account histories Accepting loan payments Assisting with the collection of past due loans by making telephone calls, sending past due letters, and calling on past due customers Monitoring and updating new and used floor plans Remaining knowledgeable of loan documentation Preparing loan advance request forms and advances Prepares and logs loan maintenance to be sent to Loan Operations. Prepares loan checklists, CRA's, and logging loans to be sent to Loan Operations. Processes NSFs, including calling customers on overdrawn accounts. Assists in the preparation of LARs on lines of credit for all commercial/real estate officers. Assists the Commercial Loan Department with LARs on a daily basis. Participates in an on-going comprehensive training program to maintain awareness of compliance regulations. Complies with Bank Secrecy Act and with operating controls and procedures; accountable for compliance with applicable consumer laws and regulations. Other duties as assigned.
