The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of the escrow process from opening through funding and can confidently handle purchase/sale and refinance transactions. We are looking for someone who is ready to continue learning, grow within the industry, and take on increasing responsibility over time. This position is also an opportunity for an experienced escrow professional to mentor and support less-experienced escrow assistants, sharing knowledge and helping develop the next generation of escrow professionals. What You'll Do Open, process, and fund purchase/sale and refinance transactions from beginning to completion. Review preliminary reports and title commitments and work to clear title requirements, including researching discrepancies, obtaining lien releases, and clearing other encumbrances. Request payoff, HOA, and utility demands. Review tax rolls for accuracy, assessments, and potential liens. Assist with quoting escrow fees and other charges. Request and authorize loans for funding. Receipt and disburse funds, including sending payoffs. Prepare funding packages and provide funding conditions. Schedule and coordinate signing appointments both in and outside the office. Prepare documents and signing packages for customers. Maintain accurate electronic transaction files and upload documents appropriately. Communicate professionally and proactively with lenders, buyers, sellers, realtors, co-workers, and other transaction parties. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to less-experienced escrow assistants. Continue developing knowledge of title insurance, escrow, real estate transactions, and applicable regulations. Follow company policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards. Maintain confidentiality of customer and transaction information. Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For Required:
Current escrow/title license, or demonstrated readiness to complete the required licensing assessment and obtain the necessary license. Previous experience in escrow, title, or real estate transactions. Working knowledge of the escrow process from opening through funding. Familiarity with title insurance, escrow documents, fees, and terminology. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take initiative. Professional and customer-focused approach. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
