Role Overview As an Escrow Officer, you'll be the operational and relational anchor of each transaction. You'll manage the full escrow lifecycle from opening to funding to closing while ensuring compliance with Washington State law, RESPA, and company protocols. You'll collaborate with brokers, buyers, sellers, lenders, and internal teams to deliver a seamless, branded experience.
Key Responsibilities Document Accuracy:
Select, prepare, and complete approved legal documents for real estate transactions, ensuring precision in every detail.
Transaction Management:
Oversee escrow transactions, verifying that all terms of purchase agreements are met before closing. Identify and resolve any title or escrow issues that arise prior to closing.
Funds Handling:
Manage deposits, disbursements, and closing proceeds with meticulous attention to financial accuracy
Customer Service:
Provide clear, professional, and responsive communication to all parties involved, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
Collaboration:
Work closely with lenders, title officers, real estate agents, and buyers/sellers to ensure smooth transactions. Provide outstanding customer service to build long-term client trust and loyalty.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate transaction records, ensuring proper document filing with county offices and compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide guidance to junior escrow staff or assistants, supporting training and mentoring where applicable.
Knowledge :
Stay up to date with industry trends, legal updates, and best practices.
Teamwork:
Ensure seamless coordination with title officer, leadership, and management team.
Office Support:
Attend business networking events to initiate new business and expand relationships. Take part in efforts to sustain branch profitability through efficient practices and proactive client engagement.
