The company values optimism, opportunity, and long-term relationships built on trust. Role Description The Loan Officer Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Mission Viejo, CA. This position supports Loan Officers with day-to-day tasks, including gathering and organizing borrower documentation, updating loan files, and tracking application progress. The assistant communicates with clients, real estate agents, and internal team members to provide status updates, answer questions, and ensure a smooth workflow. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing basic loan forms, entering data into lending systems, and assisting with initial underwriting requests under guidance. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, supporting compliance with lending regulations, and contributing to a professional, client-focused environment. Qualifications Experience supporting Loan Officers and familiarity with residential lending processes. Knowledge of the mortgage industry, including basic loan products and terminology. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to assist borrowers professionally and empathetically. Understanding of underwriting fundamentals and comfort working with financial documents and guidelines. Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and internal stakeholders. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines. Proficiency with office and mortgage software systems; basic Excel and document management skills. Ability to work on-site in Mission Viejo, CA, in a collaborative team setting. Prior experience in mortgage, banking, or financial services is preferred. High school diploma required; college coursework or degree in business, finance, or related field is beneficial.
