We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist to support our payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have experience processing payroll in a unionized environment, including handling union dues, benefit deductions, and compliance with collective bargaining agreements. Responsibilities Assist with weekly payroll processing Maintain accurate employee payroll records Calculate and process union dues, assessments, and related deductions Review payroll reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies Track employee hours, overtime, and job classifications Support compliance with union agreements, wage regulations, and company policies Prepare payroll-related reports and documentation Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner Coordinate with HR, Accounting, and union representatives as needed Qualifications 2+ years of payroll experience preferred Experience with union payroll and union dues administration strongly preferred Knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll tax requirements Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Quickbooks, Payroll4Construction) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related office software Preferred Qualifications Experience working with multiple collective bargaining agreements Payroll certification (CPP, FPC, or equivalent) is a plus Construction, manufacturing, healthcare, or public-sector payroll experience is advantageous Benefits Competitive pay Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Retirement plan Professional development opportunities
