Payroll Specialist - Temporary / Potential Temp-to-Hire Greater Portland, ME | $30-$40/hour | Part-Time, 25 hours/week We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support weekly payroll processing for 250+ employees. This is an initial 6-8 week temporary assignment with the potential to become temp-to-hire for the right candidate . What You'll Do Process weekly payroll for 200+ employees Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies Help clean up and verify payroll information following a recent system transition Work closely with HR to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing Troubleshoot payroll issues and navigate a somewhat complex payroll process What We're Looking For Paylocity experience is required Prior hands-on payroll processing experience Experience with union payroll preferred, but not required Multi-state payroll experience preferred, but not required Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and correct payroll discrepancies Comfortable stepping into an existing process and helping improve accuracy and organization Ability to work independently and meet weekly payroll deadlines Schedule & Location Approximately 25 hours per week, Monday-Thursday Availability on Monday and Tuesday is important due to payroll processing Position is primarily onsite in the Greater Portland area There may be an opportunity for some remote work once fully trained and up to speed

Pay:
