E Job Summary:
+ Processes and records the Agency's payroll timely and accurately.
Duties include:
+ Responds to inquiries from Agency personnel regarding payroll matters. + Provides procedural instruction regarding payroll and timekeeping. + Enters and processes employee time, payroll adjustments, garnishments and pay cards. + Processes payroll transactions accurately and timely.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality relative to payroll + Successfully pass a criminal background check the meets agency standards. + High school diploma or GED + Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word. + Demonstrated knowledge of office practices and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with UKG or similar
Payroll Systems Essential Functions:
Communication + Responds to inquiries from Agency personnel regarding payroll matters. + Provides procedural instruction regarding payroll and timekeeping. + Effectively communicates with all internal customers regardless of their areas of responsibility in a courteous and professional manner. + Maintains strict confidentiality of information generated or gathered. + Conducts Payroll training for managers. Knowledge + Performs duties in accordance with applicable Federal and State regulations and Goodwill's philosophy, policies and procedures. + Understands proper taxation of employer paid benefits. + Working knowledge of computerized timekeeping and payroll systems. + Resolves Payroll problems and exceptions in timely fashion. Administration + Enters and processes employee time, payroll adjustments, garnishments and pay cards. + Processes payroll transactions accurately and timely. + Maintains Agency payroll information in HRIS database. + Prepares reporting for employees, managers, vendors and tax agencies when necessary. + Develops ad hoc reporting as needed. + Understanding of Goodwill NNE policies.
