About the Role At Your Service Staffing is seeking an experienced Accounting & Payroll Specialist to join our Accounting team in our Sayville, NY office. This is a hands-on role supporting payroll, invoicing, and accounting functions across multiple companies and locations within our growing staffing organization. This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone with solid payroll experience, strong QuickBooks knowledge, and the ability to step in and make an immediate impact. Responsibilities Process payroll accurately and on schedule Prepare and issue invoices related to payroll and client billing Research and resolve payroll discrepancies Respond to payroll-related questions using established processes Maintain accurate payroll, billing, and accounting records Collaborate with Accounting and Operations teams to ensure accuracy and compliance Assist with additional accounting tasks as needed Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of payroll processing experience Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (required) Strong understanding of payroll and accounting principles Experience supporting payroll for multiple companies and/or locations Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize deadlines and work independently This position is not suitable for entry-level candidates or those whose experience is primarily administrative Preferred Qualifications Multi-state payroll experience Experience with Paychex Flex Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise Why You'll Love Working Here We're a close-knit team that values trust, accountability, and work-life balance.
