Position Overview BBSI is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and organized part-time Payroll & Bookkeeping Support Specialist to support our growing bookkeeping and accounting firm. The ideal candidate will have a solid working knowledge of payroll and be comfortable assisting with the full payroll process from beginning to end. This position supports multiple clients, recurring payroll deadlines, payroll tax payments, quarterly and annual reporting, bookkeeping, and general office operations. We are looking for someone who can work independently, maintain accuracy, meet critical deadlines, and help improve and organize payroll procedures as the firm continues to grow. Key Responsibilities Process and support client payroll from beginning to end. Process payroll primarily through QuickBooks Desktop. Calculate, review, and process payroll accurately and on schedule. Process and track payroll tax payments, including DOR and EFTPS online portals. Assist with quarterly payroll reporting and required filings. Assist with annual payroll reporting and year-end payroll responsibilities. Maintain accurate payroll records, employee information, and supporting documentation. Review employee hours, payroll information, and documentation for accuracy prior to processing. Assist with bookkeeping for clients using QuickBooks Online. Help organize, document, and improve new and existing payroll procedures and processes. Manage recurring payroll deadlines and prioritize multiple client accounts. Prepare, organize, scan, upload, and maintain financial and client documents. Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and other payroll/bookkeeping documentation as needed. Communicate professionally with clients regarding payroll information, missing documentation, deadlines, and questions. Assist with general office and administrative responsibilities as needed. Required Qualifications Strong working knowledge of payroll processing. Ability to understand and manage the complete payroll cycle. Experience with QuickBooks Desktop; payroll is processed through QuickBooks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and client accounts. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned payroll responsibilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
