Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to join our team! In this vital role, you will oversee payroll processing, manage employee benefits programs, ensure compliance with labor and tax laws, and maintain accurate financial and HR records. Your expertise will help us deliver seamless payroll services while supporting our employees' benefits needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative environment where precision, confidentiality, and efficiency are paramount. Duties Process payroll accurately and efficiently using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, ensuring timely payments and deductions. Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Maintain and update HRIS (Human Resources Information System) databases like PeopleSoft or Kronos to reflect current employee information. Reconcile payroll data with accounting software such as QuickBooks or general ledger systems, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. Ensure compliance with employment law, labor law, payroll tax regulations, and governmental reporting requirements. Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism while managing payroll tax filings and related documentation. Assist with audits by preparing reports, verifying data entries, and reconciling accounts related to payroll and benefits. Support payroll management tasks including data entry, time & attendance system oversight, and processing journal entries for financial records. Experience Proven experience in payroll processing and benefits administration within a corporate or nonprofit setting. Demonstrated proficiency with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro. Strong knowledge of employment law, tax law related to payroll taxes, labor law compliance, and governmental reporting standards. Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks or similar financial tools; experience with general ledger accounting is a plus. Ability to analyze data accurately using spreadsheets; experience with account reconciliation and double-entry bookkeeping is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly. Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
