Payroll Coordinator

Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented payroll professional with hands-on experience processing union payroll. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry and understand the unique requirements associated with union employees, wage rates, benefit contributions, and payroll reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving payroll issues, and being a trusted resource for employees and management.
Responsibilities:
Process accurate and timely weekly payroll Maintain and apply applicable union wage rates, classifications, deductions, and benefit contributions Review employee timecards for accuracy, including regular hours, overtime, PTO, and other earnings Ensure proper union deductions and benefit contributions are calculated and reported Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee pay questions Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records Assist with payroll audits and year-end processing, including W-2s Ensure payroll practices comply with applicable federal and state laws Assist with certified payroll and prevailing wage reporting, when applicable Work closely with HR, Accounting, supervisors, and employees to resolve payroll-related issues Stay current on payroll regulations and applicable union requirements Process, file, maintain Unemployment paperwork Handle employment verification requests Assist with employee onboarding, paperwork and the maintenance of accurate employee information Experience 5+ years of payroll processing experience Previous union payroll experience strongly preferred Paycor experience strongly preferred Construction industry payroll experience preferred Experience working with multiple union agreements is a plus Knowledge of union benefit contributions and reporting Experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements is a plus Strong knowledge of payroll procedures, deductions, overtime, and payroll taxes Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information professionally Ability to work independently and meet payroll deadlines Join us in delivering precise payroll solutions that empower our organization! Pay:
$65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
