Terms of Employment W2 Contract, 4 Months This is a hybrid role Overview The Payroll Analyst is a critical member of the Global payroll organization and will report to the US Payroll Manager. The scope of responsibilities is to support approximately 200-300 regular employees in Mexico and aid in the US day to day operations as time permits. The Payroll Analyst will be a key member in the current transformation of the payroll solution and service delivery model within the Mexico region. As a part of this transformation, the Senior Payroll Analyst will be responsible for helping to drive process standardization and controls across the Mexico region to reduce organization risk, increase efficiencies and enhance the employee experience. Along with key project activities, the Senior Payroll Analyst will process the day-to-day payroll for Mexico and help build an efficient, consistent, and compliant payroll function. This will include delivering standardized payroll services within the context of local regulatory environments, resolving escalated employee payroll inquiries, and executing routine payroll activities in partnership with internal stakeholders and external payroll vendors. This role will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., HROps, PBP's, Benefits, Legal, Tax, Treasury, IT, etc.) and the external Payroll vendors. Responsibilities Manage payroll data and processing accuracy for Mexico team members. Support the outsourced payroll vendor. Execution of accurate and timely payrolls with the outsourced payroll vendor in Mexico. Ensure all regulatory taxes are filed timely according to deadlines. Development of robust processes, checklists, and controls to ensure payroll accuracy while partnering with Finance and Internal Audit to ensure audit requirements are met Ensure timely and high value customer service to employees. Manage the payroll providers in region to ensure that they are delivering on their services and commitments, escalating performance issues appropriately. Drive process improvements and automation across payroll platforms and processes to eliminate manual processes and risks. Participate in testing of policy, process, and system changes to ensure timely and accurate payroll. Support all SOX and regional audits to ensure regulatory compliance. Coach/develop/support growth of team members including cross training. Manage special projects as needed. Participate in US day to day operations as needed. Participate with US Payroll on implementation projects. Required Skills & Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience as a payroll analyst processing payrolls in Mexico with US experience as well Technical experience with and knowledge of payroll processing in Mexico Experience working with and managing payroll vendors Ability to speak and write in English and Spanish. Personal Income Tax and basic local regulations knowledge in Mexico Understanding of the General Ledger process Ability to think analytically, work independently and perform detail-oriented tasks Experience working with case management tools preferred Strong time management and organization skills Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely via written and verbal communication both internally and with key stakeholders across the company Experience in Excel and Word Preferred Skills & Experience BA/BS degree preferred Experience working and collaborating in a cross-functional global environment preferred.
