Financial Counselor / Educator — Gambling Disorder Treatment Program

Job Description

Financial Counselor / Educator — Gambling Disorder Treatment Program Clear Odds Recovery Hollywood, FL Job Details Part-time | Contract $65 - $90 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Personal service client interaction documentation CFP Substance abuse treatment center experience Substance abuse Clinical documentation standards Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders Training Individual counseling Therapy progress note documentation Full Job Description Clear Odds Recovery is a new gambling disorder treatment program launching this fall in South Florida, offering PHP and IOP levels of care. Financial harm is central to gambling disorder in a way it isn't for most other addictions, and we're building financial work into the clinical program rather than treating it as an afterthought. We're looking for a financial counselor or educator to lead that work. About the Role Debt, secrecy, and financial wreckage are usually what bring someone to treatment, and they're still waiting when treatment ends. This role helps clients understand their financial situation clearly, build practical skills, and begin rebuilding — as part of the clinical program, alongside the therapeutic work, not separate from it. Responsibilities Facilitate group financial education sessions within the treatment program Provide individual financial counseling as clinically indicated Write session documentation that meets clinical record standards Coordinate with the clinical team so financial work aligns with each client's treatment plan Requirements Financial counseling or education credential preferred (AFC, FFC, CFP, or similar). Strong equivalent experience considered — we can train on the gambling-specific piece Familiarity with addiction treatment settings and comfort facilitating groups Ability to write clear, timely session notes Level 2 background screening may be required Preferred Experience with gambling-related financial harm specifically Please note: this role does not involve access to, custody of, or management of client funds at any time.
