Job Description

J BLACK FINANCIAL GROUP
, a successful and rapidly growing boutique wealth management firm, is seeking a Financial Planning Intern to join our team. The Financial Planning Intern works closely with the Wealth Management team in the preparation of financial plans, client service, follow-up client cases, entry of client information and financial data into planning software, and various project-related activities. Interns will have the opportunity to learn from each department to gain a holistic learning experience. The role is for the summer of 2027, with a flexible schedule and opportunity to continue into the 2027-2028 school year. The firm provides comprehensive, fee-based financial planning, fee-based investment advisory solutions, education funding strategies, holistic wealth management, retirement planning and risk management (which includes life insurance, disability insurance, income annuities and long-term care insurance).
Responsibilities :
Support wealth management team. Actively participate in client meetings and take detailed notes for the planning team. Help manage tasks and follow-ups to ensure client needs are promptly addressed. Complete data entry and perform case analysis using financial planning software applications. Engage in case discussions and provide insights to enhance decision-making.

Assist in preparing comprehensive financial plans tailored to client needs. Assist with various firm projects, including but not limited to, firm operations and marketing, business development, wealth management, investment management and financial planning. Adhere to and comply with all firm policies and procedures to ensure ethical and legal compliance.
Education :
Personal Financial Planning, Finance, Economics or Sales majors preferred. GPA of 3.0 or above. Juniors and Seniors preferred.

Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Strong verbal and written communication. Ability to follow through and execute on company objectives. Always do what's in the client's best interest. Pay:
$15.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week
