Job Description

About the Position We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented HVAC Permit Coordinator / Permit Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing, submitting, tracking, and processing HVAC permits with municipalities and other applicable agencies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with local government offices, navigating online permitting systems, communicating with inspectors, and ensuring all permits are submitted accurately and in a timely manner. Responsibilities Prepare and submit HVAC permit applications to municipalities and other agencies Process residential and commercial HVAC permits Track permit applications from submission through approval and closeout Communicate with municipalities, building departments, and inspectors Schedule inspections and follow up on inspection results Research permit requirements and fees for different municipalities Ensure applications are complete, accurate, and submitted according to local requirements Maintain organized records of permits, applications, approvals, and inspections Coordinate with HVAC installers, project managers, and office staff regarding permit status Obtain required documentation, plans, equipment information, and contractor information Monitor outstanding permits and follow up on delays or missing information Assist with certificate of occupancy/approval documentation when required Keep up with changes to local permitting requirements and procedures Qualifications Previous experience processing HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, or construction permits preferred Knowledge of local building and permitting requirements Experience working with municipal building departments preferred Strong computer and data-entry skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple permits and deadlines at the same time Strong communication and follow-up skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with online permit portals is a plus HVAC industry or construction office experience is a plus

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
