Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of quality control processes, blueprint reading, and construction management. The Inspector will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and safety of our projects while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed inspections of rental properties before, during, and after tenant occupancy to assess the condition of the property. Take high-quality, clear, and comprehensive photographs of the property, including key areas such as appliances, fixtures, structural elements, and any damages or concerns. Identify and document any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or property damages and create detailed reports with photographic evidence. Evaluate the cleanliness and general condition of the property, including appliances, fixtures, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural integrity. Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and landlord-tenant laws. Collaborate with property managers and landlords to schedule inspections and discuss necessary repairs or maintenance. Provide recommendations for improvements or necessary repairs to ensure the property meets market standards. Prepare inspection reports, including notes on repairs, damages, or areas requiring attention, and submit them to relevant parties in a timely manner. Assist in creating move-in/move-out checklists for tenants and help resolve any disputes regarding property conditions. Maintain accurate records of inspections, reports, photographs, and tenant communications. Stay updated on current regulations, safety standards, and best practices in property management and inspections
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a property inspector, maintenance technician, or in a similar role (preferably within the rental property industry). Strong knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and rental property regulations. Ability to identify potential maintenance or safety issues within residential or commercial properties. Attention to detail and the ability to assess the overall condition of properties thoroughly.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively. Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including outdoor inspections. Flexible working hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, depending on property availability. No need for licensed inspector.
