This individual contributor role will ensure that regulatory registration activities for agricultural fertilizer and nutrition products are completed proficiently under limited supervision. The successful candidate will leverage their experience with US state agencies by managing a variety of routine and non-routine agricultural registrations.

What You'll Do:

State Registrations:

Initiate state registration tasks for designated product portfolios, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulatory requirements, including California, Washington, and Oregon regulations\n

Label Review:

Participate in label reviews to ensure correct label versions are registered with the states and meet applicable requirements\n

Regulatory Compliance:

Monitor state-specific regulatory changes, assess impacts to Nutrien products, and proactively communicate and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance\n

Relationship Building:

Maintain positive, professional relationships with state regulatory authorities, serving as a primary point of contact for state registration matters\n

State Registration Database:

Maintain a comprehensive database of all state registrations, including renewal dates, submission deadlines, and other relevant information. Manage state electronic submission processes via individual state websites\n

Renewals and Submissions:

Oversee renewal processes and ensure timely submission of documentation and payments; prepare and submit new registrations as needed\n

Regulatory Updates:

Evaluate changes in regulatory requirements and implement necessary modifications to registration documentation and labeling\n

Telus:

Maintain accurate product information and registration statuses in Telus\n

State Inquiries:

Respond to inquiries, questions, and requests for information regarding product registrations, label updates, or other regulatory matters\n

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with Regulatory Affairs, Product Development, Legal, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing to align and complete registration activities. Participate in product/formulation launch teams and assist with product life cycle management\n

Industry Association Participation:

Maintain awareness of regulatory changes through limited participation in relevant industry associations (AAPFCO, TFI, etc.) and share applicable insights internally\n

Knowledge Retention & Process Documentation:

Collaborate with regulatory leadership to ensure documentation of team and cross-functional processes, retention of institutional knowledge, and regular updates to SOPs, templates, and guidance documents\n

Training and Education:

Stay current on industry trends, attend relevant training sessions, and share knowledge with the team to foster regulatory expertise and a culture of compliance\n

Process Improvement:

Maintain accurate and thorough trackers and databases; make recommendations to simplify processes and improve workflows\n

Safety:

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Product Stewardship or related field is required\nMinimum of 6 years of experience in registration of fertilizer, bio stimulant, or soil amendment products in a US agricultural work setting\nComprehensive understanding of state fertilizer regulations and AAPFCO requirements\nHigh degree of effectiveness in communicating, both written and verbally\nSkilled in interacting collaboratively across technical and business functions\nProven ability to manage complex registration portfolios applying advanced critical thinking and problem solving\nSkilled in using Microsoft Office Suite tools to complete work efficiently\nCompetent in utilizing basic SharePoint functionality\nIn-depth experience with Regulatory related software, portals, and databases\nWillingness to provide training and learning experiences to less experienced colleagues\nSelf-motivated approach to completing work, escalating issues appropriately\nKnowledge of Canada's fertilizer regulatory framework is a bonus, not required

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role, in Colorado location, is between $79,100

$124,190, in California location, is $79,100
$124,190 and between in Illinois location, is $75,300
$118,250.

While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location. We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance and well as disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week. In addition, we have a retirement program that encourages our employees to save for the longer term, with generous matching employer contributions. In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
