POSITION SUMMARY
The Regulatory Product and Filing Specialist is responsible for maintaining and preparing filings for all lines of business as needed and communicating with Insurance Departments for regulatory issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare rate, rule & form filings as respects ongoing and new lines of business Communicate with each State's Department of Insurance regarding regulatory issues Assist in underwriting compliance and filing issues involving company, rate and coverage form issues Respond to work comp bureau questions and other inquiries Prepare and file NAIC licensing applications for carriers and captives as needed Manage bureau and state insurance department portal access for all agents and employees Manage agent appointments for Benchmark Act as primary SIU/Fraud reporting contact Manage and update policy issuance system with rate and form changes Communicate with internal reporting team regarding filing and reporting requirements Train regulatory staff as needed Ability to travel occasionally Perform other activities, duties and assignments as needed or requested Maintain consistent presence in the office
QUALIFICATIONS
Working knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to insurance licensing, TPA licensing, rate filings, and reporting. Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and recommend solutions Knowledge of and demonstrated underwriting skills in the area of commercial insurance Property and Casualty Producer licensure is highly desired Ability to respond to problems and provide solutions in a dynamic environment. Ability to present to external parties in a pleasant, professional manner and enhance the appeal and reputation of the organization as a knowledgeable and service-oriented organization Computer skills including knowledge of Excel & Microsoft Office Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to effectively manage deadlines independently and within a team environment Bachelor's degree preferred 3+ years' experience in the insurance industry, specifically with regulatory analysis and reporting
