This role works cross-functionally with internal and external clients to support safe and efficient manufacturing processes. •Up to 15% travel per year•

Responsibilities:

Lead and enhance the site's machine safety program, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. Conduct machine risk assessments and implement effective safeguarding and risk-reduction solutions. Manage machine safety, automation, and equipment improvement projects from design review through commissioning and validation. Monitor program performance through audits, metrics, corrective actions, and documentation management. Serve as the site's technical expert for machine safety, risk mitigation, and safety control systems. Review and approve risk assessments, safety-related engineering documents, and control system designs. Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. Identify opportunities to improve safety, equipment reliability, productivity, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field. CMSE, TÜV, or equivalent Machinery/Functional Safety certification. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, automation, machine safety, or industrial engineering. Experience leading machine risk assessments, mitigation programs, and capital improvement projects. Strong knowledge of machine safeguarding, industrial controls, and applicable safety regulations and standards (ANSI, ISO, IEC, NFPA, and robotics).
