We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Risk Manager to oversee and proactively manage risk across our portfolio of commercial real estate assets. This individual will play a critical role in protecting the firm by identifying exposures, managing claims, and implementing preventative strategies that support operational excellence and long-term asset value. Working cross-functionally with acquisitions, asset management, property management, and finance, the Risk Manager will ensure informed decision-making and drive a disciplined, proactive approach to risk across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all general liability claims, including slip-and-fall and personal injury matters Conduct thorough incident investigations, including gathering reports, photos, surveillance, and witness statements Serve as the primary point of contact with claimants, attorneys, insurance carriers, and brokers Drive early resolution strategies and negotiate settlements to minimize financial and legal exposure Coordinate and manage defense counsel throughout litigation processes Maintain detailed claim files, reserves, and settlement tracking
Risk Management & Loss Prevention:
Identify recurring risks and potential hazards across the portfolio Partner with property management teams to implement loss prevention initiatives Develop and deliver training on incident reporting, documentation, and best practices Conduct audits of property safety procedures and maintenance protocols
