Job Description
We are primarily looking for someone with some tax preparation experience in individual taxation who can perform data input and checking as the situation requires. Individuals with more experience or an EA, are encouraged to apply, but these are not required qualifications. The employment term will run primarily from mid-January through late April, up to full time during prime tax season, with possible off-season hours dependent on skills. Accounting and QuickBooks skills would lead to more off season hours. This is a position that could grow into a tax preparer position if you have the drive and skills for it.
Qualifications:
- Perform work accurately and in a time efficient manner, with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow through.
- Operate in a fully compliant manner to protect client's and the firm's information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving, technology and organizational skills.
- Critical thinking skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and ability to learn other technology. Training on our tax software will be provided.
- Notable attention to detail, self-initiated follow-through, and outstanding time management.
