Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced corporate tax specialist to join our Florence, SC based client's team. This role will play a key part in meeting tax compliance obligations, supporting provision activities, and helping clients evaluate tax impacts across a range of operations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical tax knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners in a client services environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation and submission of corporate federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring filings are accurate and completed on schedule.
- Examine financial records and related data to confirm compliance requirements are met while identifying opportunities to improve tax efficiency.
- Conduct technical tax research and summarize findings to support leadership in evaluating the tax consequences of business decisions.
- Provide tax planning to clients Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience and an active certified public accountant license
- At least 3 years of experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or a comparable tax-focused position.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations affecting business entities.
- Experience using tax and accounting systems
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for analysis and reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a dynamic work environment.
