Marine & Industrial Services to join our growing mobile collection team as an independent contractor (1099).
This position is ideal for a DOT-Certified collector, EMT, paramedic, occupational health professional, retired military member, or healthcare professional looking for flexible contract work with competitive per-event compensation. This position requires reliable weekday daytime availability (approximately 6:00 AM-4:00 PM), with occasionally early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday assignments as business needs require. The ideal candidate will perform USCG random testing, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, return-to-duty, and follow-up collections at customer locations throughout the Greater New Orleans area. This role is critical to helping Fastest Labs expand our marine and industrial testing services. In addition to responding to dispatched collections, this contractor will support scheduled USCG random vessel testing, allowing us increased capacity and growth with our marine clients. Most assignments occur Monday through Friday during normal business hours, although occasionally early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday collections may be available.
Duties:
Perform specimen collections according to established procedures following DOT guideline 49 CFR-Part 40. Conduct random and emergency observed urine collections of same-sex clients as necessary. Manage collections for drug screenings and Breath Alcohol Testing. Ensure accurate completion of Chain of Custody (COC) forms and Alcohol Testing Forms. Label specimens as required and ensure their safe and timely transport to the appropriate destinations. Maintain accurate collection logs, certifications, and records. Provide exceptional customer service to clients. Communicate effectively with customers and report any discrepancies immediately to the appropriate authority. Maintain equipment, supplies, and a professional appearance always. Be responsive to dispatch calls for collections, including after-hours and on
call scenarios.
Qualifications:
DOT Certification and BAT/Urine Collector Certification required. Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and access to dependable and insured transportation. Ability to work independently. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Basic computer skills and access to a cell phone with texting and emailing capabilities. HIPPA compliance required TWIC card a plus Marine, industrial, or mobile specimen collection experience is strongly preferred Minimum of 2 years' customer service experience. High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Must pass drug screen and background check screening.
Compensation:
$75
175+ per completed event Standard one-donor local assignments pay $75 plus a local travel stipend. Multi
donor events pay a higher tiered rate based on the number of donors completed.
Out-of-area assignments include mileage reimbursement in lieu of the travel stipend. Tolls and parking are reimbursed when applicable.
